L - Patch is functioning well, with little or no deterioration.

M - Patch is moderately deteriorated, or moderate spalling can be seen around the edges, or both. Patch material can be dislodged with considerable effort. 

H - Patch is badly deteriorated. The extent of the deterioration warrants replacement.
