This module is used to define a custom index based on PCI distresses. Existing indices can be edited or deleted using the links in the table. New indices are defined by entering in the name and description for the user defined index and clicking “Add.” After creating the index, the user must edit it to select the distresses that are used in calculating the index.
User defined indices are determined using the PCI calculations defined in ASTM D5340 and D6433, but using only the subset of distresses and severity combinations selected in this interface. Items that are not checked are not considered during the calculations. Click the “Update” link when finished defining or editing the user-defined index. The index will be calculated in the background for databases owned by the user, and is usually available for viewing within one-half hour.
