The “Prediction Modeling” module is used to develop deterioration models by grouping together similar pavements and performing a regression analysis to relate pavement condition to pavement age. Models should be constructed from pavement sections with similar use, construction, traffic patterns, and weather. Once pavements are identified and grouped into "families", FAA PAVEAIR can use the model (also called a “family curve”) to estimate pavement condition at any point during the pavement life cycle. The results are then plotted on a graph.
